Praxis EaveDrop
Praxis EaveDrop, a Praxion product, does two things. AR measurements: the job is measured on site with a phone — walk-around photos and video tagged to the side they show, a camera tape and a height check — and the model is held up against the real thing. VR reports: the result is an interactive 3D virtual report of the job, with measurements and photos by side, made for management, the install department and the customer to walk through. The live quote is priced from the same numbers. Roof-edge measurement is live today; other job types — roofing, siding, windows, basement plumbing and water treatment, landscaping, generators, automotive and boats — are being added. Available on its own, and included in full-service Praxion builds.
The measuring is done before the appointment starts
Praxis EaveDrop measures the runs from the address, breaks them down by side and story, and hands them to the estimator. The rep walks in prepared, and the quote, drawing and paperwork all start from the same numbers.
- Eave, rake and fascia runs measured and broken down per side
- Feeds the estimator in LH Masterlog Agent automatically
- Draws Exhibit A and B from the same measurement
- AR measurements with the phone: photos tagged by side, tape a run with the camera, check the eave height with the tilt sensor, see the house in AR at real size
- A VR report of the job: the 3D model with each side’s feet and photos, made for management, install and the customer
- Compared with installed footage so accuracy keeps improving
Measure on site with the phone, hold it up against the house, then price the quote
The 3D model is built from the same measurement the report is built from, so the house in AR, the numbers on it and the price all agree.
The house in AR, at real size
Tap AR / 3D and the measured house stands in the driveway next to the real one, in the colors the walk-around photos show, with each side’s feet and story on it. Opens in the AR viewer already on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Measure with the phone
Walk-around photos and video are stamped with the phone’s compass, tilt and location, so each lands on the side it shows. Tape a run with the camera, corner by corner (Android), and check the eave height with the tilt sensor from a few paces back. Each sits next to Praxis EaveDrop’s number for that side.
Priced from the model
Gutter feet by story, corners, downspouts, roof squares, pitch and wall area come off the model into the estimator and the job drawings. Pick only the runs the customer wants and the price follows.
A virtual report management, install and the customer can walk through
The VR report is the job in 3D: the model, every side’s lengths and story, eave heights, downspouts, the photos of each side and the checks behind each number. Walk around it in any browser; on a VR headset whose browser supports it, an Open in VR headset button puts you inside the model.
- Management: review and approve the measured job with its accuracy grade and checks, and compare it with the footage the crew actually installed
- Install department: crew prep from lengths per side, heights, downspouts and the photos of each side, with printable order sheets drawn from the same numbers
- Customers: their own home’s measurements and what is being installed, in a Customer view that hides costs and internal checks
Today the report opens in the rep’s account and the customer gets a private link with the quote and the drawing. View-only report links for management, install departments and customers are being added.
As many sources as we can get, fused by trust
Every source votes on what it knows — outline, eave height, pitch, a run’s length — weighted by how much it can be trusted. The report says, per side, how many sources agreed and which one disagrees.
Live today: a 10 cm aerial 3D surface model, Google’s own roof model, USGS public lidar flown on a different date, point elevation, OpenStreetMap footprints, an address-pin check, Street View from three angles, satellite and NAIP aerials, the walk-around photos and video, the phone’s compass, tilt and AR tape, the 3D model held up in AR, and the installed footage read back from the work order.
Ready to connect: USGS lidar point clouds, Microsoft and Google building footprints, parcel and assessor data, county open data, Mapbox and Esri aerials, licensed listing photos, Nearmap and EagleView imagery, phone LiDAR depth scans and walk-around photogrammetry — switched on per customer.
Tailorable and connectable to the CRM you already run
Praxis EaveDrop is built to live inside the customer’s card, not in another tab.
Salesforce, today
In production inside LH Masterlog Agent: the measurement fills the estimator, the quote lines and the job drawings, and the installed footage is read back from the work order to grade it.
Any CRM, by API
Address in; feet by side and story, the 3D model, the report and its accuracy grade out, pushed into the CRM’s own fields.
No API? Still connectable
A browser connector works with the CRM’s own pages the way a rep would, so a CRM without an API still gets the measurement on the record. What gets written is agreed up front.
Sizing for every trade
Praxis EaveDrop was born measuring roof edges, and exterior scopes are live today. The same photos, measurements and 3D model are being set up for other trades, with the report tailored to the scope each one quotes.
